Prayer Meeting

Our prayer meeting takes place every Monday evening at 7.30 pm. We warmly welcome you to join us at what continues to be a very rewarding and uplifting meeting for those who attend.

On average the meeting regularly attracts between 25 and 30 people with a diverse age range.

We usually start the meeting with a short Bible study, where topics such as assurance, repentance and forgiveness and general encouragement are considered. Our prayer time is a blessed time for all the members where praise, repentance, supplication and thanksgiving are expressed.

The prayer meeting has been described as the “power house of God” and here at Cave-Browne prayer is a vital element of our Church life. Prayer brings the power of God to bear on the situations that we are concerned about.

Prayer is one of the ways that God is able to work in our lives and in the lives of others too. We can freely bring all of our concerns, our thoughts and desires, our hurts and our needs to Him, knowing that He is our loving Heavenly Father and He is always ready to listen.

Throughout the year we host missionary meetings where we invite representatives from missions such as Transworld Radio, Leprosy Mission, Asialink, Silk Road Ministries, Gideons International, SIM and NTM etc. These are also held on a Monday evening.

Here we are kept appraised of the work of the missions we support in the way they minister, in the name of Christ, to the physical, mental, social and spiritual needs of individuals and communities. As a Church this enables us to be more focused in our prayers and support for these societies.
