CAMEO

Come And Meet Each Other (CAMEO) is our Parent and Toddler Group. We meet every Wednesday during term time from 9.30 am to 11.30 am.

Each session has a wide variety of activities including:

  • free play
  • messy table
  • quiet corner
  • home corner
  • rotation of toys
  • sing-a-long and refreshments

There is no fixed charge but, if desired, voluntary donations are welcome to help meet general running costs. This applies to all our activities.

We also try to arrange several events throughout the year.

In March we have our ladies' night where we meet in a child free environment to relax, have fun and share a meal together - usually served by the men folk. Not to be missed!

The programme normally includes a musical item and an after dinner guest speaker.

To date we have invited a GP, Head Teacher, Midwife and Police Inspector

Our end of year party in July is usually a themed event - for example 'All the Fun of the Fair'. On that occasion we organised a treasure hunt, lucky dip and hook the duck etc. In seeking to create the right atmosphere we had fairground music, hot dogs and ice cream - not altogether!

During the Summer school holidays we have a day in the park where we meet up and have a picnic together and plenty of fun and games - older children within families are normally invited to join us.

One Saturday in September sees us all off on a 'Family Day Trip'. We have been to various venues in the past which have usually had something of interest for all ages and are also suitable for all kinds of weather!

In December we enjoy our Christmas celebrations. We have our own 'CAMEO Carols' followed by a Christmas party where the children meet Father Christmas and receive a gift.
